Flyers are not for everyone...
This is a way of helping your sponsors or launching a website. Not everyone does it because they don't ask their sponsors. Have you ever been to a trade show? Walking from booth to booth with a bag in your hand filling it with flyers, business cards and samples. Same thing. Let's say your sponsor just vamped out a new product. Obviously, they need to market it. Here is your chance to help your sponsor. Ask for brochures, flyers etc. Have them available at your pit so that people have access to them. If you go into the grandstands, bring em with you.
If you are launching a website; get your name out there with a flyer.
I have made some flyers that have been effective: I took an action shot and then typed out... "They ARE Coming".... Gave the dates to the short track races at Bike Week and a contact number at the track. "Come Meet the Pros" Get an autograph, watch the excitement! It was more like a mini poster. Went online and searched for HD Shops, Motorcycle shops, biker bars, Auto Dealers and stuffed envelopes and mailed to all these to announce your arrival and to encourage them to watch the races.
They were so easy to make and send that I continued this at the lower spectator races. The image is this: you have created a sense of excitement, you are targeted the market that loves motorcycles and you have created a need for people to go and watch. The picture alone will capture some interest!
So in a nutshell Flyers can benefit YOU, YOUR SPONSORS and YOUR SPORT. Time to get creative, If you have some ideas or just a plan let us know and we would be happy to show you the ropes.
