WEBSITE?

Welcome to the world of computers, I am hoping that you do have a computer or else someone has printed this out for you... Either way web presence is a must. Anyone can have a website and there are many programs and hosting sites out there that other a step by step process in creating one.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist, have a PHD and go to website school to have one.

The first website I created was www.pitchicksrule.com which is no longer in exsistence and after about a year I was really getting the hang out of it and I was asked by a racer to do his site.  I was quite nervous but it has been up for a few years now and it is amazing the kind of stats you can get and forward to your sponsors.  Currently I manage 4 websites; 3 racers and now this one.  Some may think it is overwhelming but I am a firm believer in "to do lists" and time management.  Mind you I also have a full time career that isn't anything to do with RACING.

Long story short.. It's time for a website.  Once launched.. time for a press release... OK OK OK

Many hosting companies out there many step by step wizards YOU CAN DO IT.

First things first.  Search for your name

For Example:  yourname.com

sometimes your name is already taken so you will have to either stick your racing number after your name or add "racing" or what have you.

For example: when creating Mike Hacker's website I searched Mikehacker.com; it was taken so now we have www.mikehacker67.com.

once you have a name picked out and its available you need to find someone to host it run a search on hosting companies and find one that works for you and your ability.
